Fans Waiting for “Rogue One 2”? Here’s What’s Happening in the Star Wars Universe!
At this time, Lucasfilm has not officially announced any projects titled “Rogue One 2: A Star Wars Story”. However, the Star Wars universe is still expanding with many other exciting projects. Here are some notable updates:

The Mandalorian & Grogu (Movie – May 22, 2026)
The first Star Wars film since 2019, directed by Jon Favreau, continues the journey of Din Djarin and Grogu. This is an extension of the TV series The Mandalorian, promising to bring a new and exciting adventure.
Andor – Season 2 (April 22, 2025)
The sequel to the highly rated political-espionage series, continues to follow Cassian Andor in the events leading up to Rogue One. Diego Luna encourages fans to rewatch Rogue One after season 2 to get a deeper look at the story.
Star Wars: Visions – Episode 3 (October 29, 2025)
The animated anthology series with a unique anime style returns with 9 new episodes, including sequels to beloved stories like “The Duel”, “The Village Bride” and “The Ninth Jedi”. Notably, “The Ninth Jedi” will be developed into a standalone series in 2026.
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld (May 4, 2025)
The third installment in the Tales animated short series, focusing on underworld characters like Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The project promises to bring dark and compelling stories about villains in the Star Wars universe.
